We clean your dog’s teeth!

We are super excited to offer the Emmi Pet, ultrasonic dental care for your pet.

It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease. Emmi-pet protects your pet from oral disease and tooth loss.

A regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine is the best way to protect your pet’s dental health.  As humans we clean our teeth twice a day – why do our pets’ teeth not get the same attention? The Emmi-pet uses ultrasound technology  to effectively remove plaque and freshen breath.   Looking like an electric tooth brush, the Emmi Pet emits no sound and does not vibrate or move – perfect for all dogs, in particular those who are anxious and those with sensitive teeth.

The specially formulated ultrasound toothpaste, which is suitable for animals, cleans teeth and gums to prevent the build up of plaque and tartar.  It acts as a conductor for the ultrasound waves to penetrate the plaque and, in essence, shatter it so that it can be fully removed from the tooth.  Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria, at the same time it increases the blood flow to the gums to heal wounds and stop bleeding.

I have seen (and have owned myself) dogs who require veterinary input for dental issues which, in some cases, can only be resolved through treatment requiring anaesthesia.  This can be costly to you, but more seriously, a stress on your dog’s system.

Emmi-pet effectively combats:

• Gingivitis and periodontitis

• Oral cavity diseases

• Plaque and tartar build up

• Bad breath

By using Emmi-pet as part of a regularly scheduled routine, you can avoid taking your pet to the vet for a professional cleaning, which can only be achieved with full anesthesia.

It is recommended that the initial appointment be 30 minutes to ensure the build up of plaque and tartar can have the best chance of being broken down as much as possible. This should be followed up by regular, 15 minute treatments either at fortnightly or monthly intervals.
